Boy Meets World’s Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) and Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel) are all grown up. They are married, have two kids and a spinoff show! Disney Channel’s new hit series, Girl Meets World, follows Cory and Topanga’s daughter, Riley (Rowan Blanchard), as she navigates school, friends and family, just as her parents did more than 10 years ago.

August Maturo plays Auggie Matthews, Cory and Topanga’s son. He is smart, funny, and a total Mommy-and-Daddy’s boy. This adorable scene-stealing 7-year-old loves to perform. He is totally comfortable in front of the camera and “never gets butterflies” because he has been acting since he was 4 years old.

Auggie (his real-life nickname) says he “was born to act” but he also loves to learn. His favorite thing to do on set is school, and he has just mastered all of the states and countries. In fact, his love of learning has already made him a published author. Auggie wrote and illustrated a book about the continents, and the experience has made him “want to publish one every year.”

When he’s not on set or at school, Auggie loves to paint and play with his little brother, Ocean, and cousin, Jaxon. His favorite sport is baseball, and he proudly states that he has played on three little league teams since he was 3 years old.

Auggie says he wants to keep acting until he goes to college, but he might want to be a lawyer when he grows up. Until then, he “would love to be in a movie on a big screen and even do voiceover for animation.” When asked if he wanted to share anything he has learned with kids who are interested in acting, Auggie says, “it takes lots of practice, and never ever give up!”

Be sure to catch August and the rest of the cast of Girl Meets World Friday nights at 8:30 on Disney Channel!
