This year’s festival draws inspiration from the current Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA initiative. This holiday celebration explores the themes of Hanukkah through the traditions of Los Angeles’s rich and diverse Latin American communities. Latin Jewish bands Klezmer Juice and Pan Felipe will get you dancing, and you can pick up some salsa, cumbia, mambo, hip-hop, and other dancefloor moves with the local dance ensembles Versa-Style and Mambo Inc. Visitors can also participate in a community art installation with acclaimed visual artist Sandy Rodriguez, along with learn about Mexican chocolate and decorate chocolate gelt with Maite Gomez-Rejón (Art Bites). Youngsters will also enjoy hearing storytellers Nina Silver and Julia Garcia Combs recount the age-old story of Hanukkah in both English and Spanish. Advance tickets are recommended
