10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tues.-Fri., 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sat.-Sun. June 18-Jan. 7. The Autry’s latest exhibit is all about “play.” Featuring a fun selection of toys, games and other play things culled from the Autry’s own collection, it explores how play and toys, and their meanings, have changed since the 19th century, with a particular focus on west coast-based companies like Mattel, Disney and Wham-O. The exhibit is composed for four sections – “Go Outside!,” “Learning to Be a Grown-up,” “Make Believe,” and “Game Changer” – and each one has a special interactive element to them, from a dress-up stage or video games.
