This exhibit’s name references a Jorge Luis Borges short story collection and, just as Borges blurred genre lines in his writing, this exhibit blurs styles as well. Utilizing multiple venues around L.A., Infamy presents new pieces from 15 different boundary-breaking artists and collectives. Part of the multi-museum Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA program, this exhibit showcases artists who live and practice in several countries, and who draw upon various discipline (such as anthropology, theater, and linguistics) to create work that covers a range of media – from installation and sculpture to performance and video. The art in this exhibit isn’t really for young children but could be of interest to tweens and teens.
