10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 22-May 19. As part of its 50th Anniversary “ZooLAbration,” the Zoo will present this four-week campaign that spotlights its conservation programs while also informing zoo-goers about ways they can protect our planet. Every day, the Zoo will spotlight a half-century of animal conservation innovations, firsts, and success stories. The weekends will hold special activities including the debut of Zoo’s all-new, spectacular acrobatic show “ZooLAbrate!,” Swazzle’s delightful, interactive “Ricky Raccoon and the Green Rangers” puppet show, the Earth Expo (featuring eco-friendly exhibitors such as the Theodore Payne Foundation, Earthwatch, Bowling for Rhinos, and Bee Catchers, Inc.) and the Planting for Pollinators Station, where you’ll discover the importance of native flora and have the chance to plant wildflowers of your own to take home.
