The traditional art of woodworking presents a nice balance to all of the electronic devices in our lives nowadays. This two-day class offers a hands-on learning experience for parents and children (ages 7-10). Each parent-child duo will be instructed on how to build a small wooden sailboat by using the bandsaw and some small hand tools. All tools are suitable for both adults and children with little to no prior woodshop experience. Come develop new skills with your kids, and take home a sailboat to float in a pool or in a lake! A parent or guardian must accompany each child. Each registration covers one parent/guardian, one child and one sailboat. Parents may register more than one child as long as they are present for the class. The two-day workshop meets June 13 and 20 for 3 hours each session.
