Families with children of all abilities are invited to Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services, 3200 Motor Ave., from noon-3p.m. Oct. 19 for the 3rd Annual Festival of Families Fall Carnival.
Vista Del Mar works to provide comprehensive, family-centered social, educational and behavioral health services that encourage children, adolescents and families to lead self-reliant, stable and productive lives.
The carnival’s festivities will include arts and crafts, a petting zoo, games, face painting, bubbles, and live music. There will also be a “sensory-friendly” area with activities specifically designed for those with autism and other special needs.
Tickets, which are $50 for adults and $25 for kids, include all food and onsite activities. For every ticket purchased, a child or family from one of many local organizations receiving Vista Del Mar services will be invited at no cost to share in the day of food, friendship, and community. Proceeds from the event will be devoted to building a new library and media center on the Vista Del Mar campus for children of all circumstance and ability.
