Big Sunday really isn’t just a “big Sunday.” It has evolved in recent years into a three-day weekend of lending a hand and volunteer activities that ranks as one of America’s largest regional community-service efforts.

This year, Big Sunday is growing again. The organization is turning May into “A Month of Big Sundays,” with volunteer projects taking place every day from May 1 through May 31. The public will be able to lend a hand in a number of ways – working in shelters, cleaning up schools and visiting nursing homes.

Meanwhile, Big Sunday actually operates all year around, offering a variety of ongoing programs and hundreds of volunteer opportunities. Whether you take part in a day of Big Sunday, a month of Big Sundays or a year of Big Sundays, it is a great way to help others in our community.
