The South Bay chapter of Baby Boot Camp (http://babybootcamp.com/CA-LA-South-Bay.aspx), a fitness program where current and expectant moms bring their children to workouts, has teamed with Manhattan Beach-based medical center The Wellness Bank (www.thewellnessbank.com) to pave the way for participants’ health insurance to cover the cost of the program. Baby Boot Camp moms will also be able make payments through their Flexible Spending Accounts or Health Savings Accounts and have them count towards insurance deductibles.

Moms wishing to participate must be evaluated by a doctor from The Wellness Bank, who will recommend the program for them. The practice also offers physical therapy, chiropractic, personal training, yoga, Pliates, massage and nutrition services.

Baby Boot Camp and the Wellness Bank will host “Project: Mommy Summer Body” from noon-3 p.m. June 28 at The Wellness Bank, 1800 N. Sepulveda Blvd., #200, Manhattan Beach.

The Wellness Bank will donate $10 to UNICEF for every mom who attends. Admission is free. Attendees will have the chance to meet wellness and fitness experts, learn Pilates and yoga exercises they can do at home, experience Red Cord Suspension training for the abs, browse the latest fitness apparel from Lorna Jane, get shoe recommendations from Village Runner, and get information on insurance eligibility.

There will also be free massages and acupuncture, raffles and giveaways, and food catered by Freshology Meal Delivery Company. Kids are welcome, and craft activities and childcare will be provided by Urbansitter.
