Spa Le La Makes Me-Time Sitter-Free

As I parked, pattering hail created a strange white noise against my windshield. This probably helped all three of my children enjoy an extended nap in the back of my minivan. It was a week before Mother’s Day and there was no sitter in sight. None of this sounds like the start of a spa day, but alas things have changed. Enter Spa Lé La, a luxurious spa with a playroom that allows you to enjoy spa treatments while your child(ren) plays with a nanny. Talk about a one-stop shop.

Before my appointment, the Spa Director sent me online forms as well as a request for KidCheck registration. Filling out this necessary paperwork beforehand made my arrival easy peasy. I was able to transition the kids immediately into the playroom after they went potty. They settled quickly. My daughter was distracted with paper and crayons, while the animal figures of ocean animals kept my boys happy. I don’t think they even turned towards me when I let them know I’d be going to the back. This was a good sign.

I was then given a come-get-your-kids buzzer(my words, not theirs), just in case they needed me in the front. I received a “luxurious bath” and “signature massage” which is called the “Spa Le LA Special,” a combo of two 25-minute services. This was followed by a 25-minute session in their nap room, which is another $40 service. I was in heaven the entire time, mainly because the buzzer(my words, not theirs) never went off.

The spa rooms are anything but expansive, but this was a plus for me. I was able to go from the massage room, to my bath, and nap room just by crossing the hallway. Both the massage and bath were heavenly, which reminded me just how special our children must feel when we bathe them and give them a good rubdown at night. The nap room was my favorite thing, simply because taking a nap in a dimly lit room is a dream come true on a Sunday afternoon. I was awakened by a subtle alarm that my mini-spa day was over. I got dressed and walked back into my life as I currently know it. My kids happily greeted me, and we walked away from a heavenly experience together. I will be back.

While the spa services were definitely on-par with Burke Williams, one of my faves, the draw is the free childcare, so here’s the lowdown: one child is complimentary during services. Two or more children are $6.00 per additional child (for every 30 minutes) and is based on availability. Capacity is 12 children at a time. They just added a variety of complimentary kids classes as well.

If you need additional pricing on treatments Spa Le La offers, you can find a full list here, or call them at 747-227-4338. Spa Lé La is located at 4338 Tujunga Ave, Studio City, CA 91604. There is metered street parking or in the back of the spa accessed by an alley.
