Come to L.A. Parent’s Special Needs Resource Fair

L.A. Parent is hosting a resource fair for families with special needs from noon-3 p.m. Dec. 11 at Skirball Cultural Center (2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd., L.A.; www.skirball.org). We hope you’ll join us! Admission is free. The event will celebrate diversity in the arts with a performance by The Miracle Project (http://www.themiracleproject.org), an award-winning theater arts program for kids on the autism spectrum. Dancers from Infinite Flow (http://www.infiniteflowdance.org), a wheelchair dance company, will also entertain. And students from L.A. Speech and Language Therapy (http://speakla.com) will share their song “Beyond the Label,” which they have performed at the White House and recorded with song-writer Johnny Gill of New Edition.

We will also have an art show featuring the original work of students from:

There will be a sensory-friendly room with hands-on activities and arts and crafts hosted by the Zimmer Children’s Museum and sponsored by Economou Law Group, and information tables to connect families with education resources, therapy options parent support and enrichment programs.
