Celebrate Some Amazing Young Women

The California Miss Amazing pageant taking place this month in the Grand Ballroom at USC gives girls and women ages 5 and up of all abilities a chance to be fitted for the gown of their dreams, show off their talents, share their ambitions and have an amazing experience in a supportive environment. Participants are paired with a buddy who supports them throughout the day, and everyone goes home with a tiara and a trophy. Learn all about it ….

  • Aquarium Autism
    Families Night

    Aquarium of the Pacific hosts this evening just for families including children and adults with autism. Long Beach. 6-9 p.m. March 19, $7 per person.

  • Asperger’s Are Us Screening

    This coming-of-age documentary follows a comedy troupe of friends on the autism spectrum. 7 p.m. March 21, Laemmle’s Playhouse 7, Pasadena. $10.

  • My Feral Heart Screening

    Celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by seeing this film about one young man’s journey. 7:30 p.m. March 21, Ahyra Fine Arts Theater, Beverly Hills. $20.

  • Braille Institute Johnny Mercer Concert

    Hear students from the institute’s music program sing during this annual show. 1-2:30 p.m. March 27, Braille Institute Center, Los Angeles. Free.
