Join Us At Inclusive Day L.A.!

L.A. Parent’s Inclusive Day is happening Sept. 16 at Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Recreation Center (14201 Huston St., Sherman Oaks) from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. At this celebration of children of all abilities and their families, kids can enjoy an adaptive playground, sensory-friendly arts and crafts, bubble fun, inclusive singing and prize giveaways while parents browse the resource fair.     Play Date

    Children of all abilities can share play time on an inclusive playground. 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sept. 9, Gates Canyon Park, Calabasas. Free.

  • Angel-cise at
    LA DanceFit

    Angel City Sports hosts an exercise benefit and adaptive sports info session. 2-4 p.m. Sept. 9, West L.A. $18 in advance, $20 at the door.


  • Shane’s Inspiration Walk and Roll

    Tackle the 5K, 10K or walk-and-roll to benefit this organization’s inclusive playgrounds and programs. 6:30 a.m.-noon Sept. 10, Griffith Park. $35-$40.


  • Saturday Speaker – Adolescent Development

    Learn about puzzling tween behavior, what it means, how to talk about it and when to seek help. 10 a.m.-noon Sept. 16, Harbor Regional Center. Free.

  • DSALA Teen Movie
    Night

    This monthly social club is for teens with Down syndrome and their friends and families. 3-5 p.m. Sept. 30, DSALA Community Room, Van Nuys. Free.
