Parents looking for a place to cool off in the valley’s hot summer weather just got a new place to tuck into. The COOP, a kids party and playspace, is now open at the Village at Westfield Topanga. The COOP is a fun indoor playground that offers an area for Moms to work with free wi-fi, but also has a number of different areas for kids of different ages.
I was met with warm smiles by the owners at the soft opening held in June just for media. Now families can get their taste of indoor fun with their big grand-opening party July 15. There will be free open play with refreshments and so much more. Mommies will enjoy complimentary eye make-up by Blushington Makeup and Beauty Lounge, one of The COOP’s neighbors. Owner Carmen Capone calls the Village “pamper row” because of their location between a number of beauty-minded businesses that offer nail treatments, make-up and hair services. They hope to host drop-in services in the future to allow moms to get some me-time without having to hire a babysitter. The playground includes a huge ball pit with two slides, a cool rope-climbing tunnel, a bouncer equipped with a basketball net, an electronic dance and gaming floor and a COOP teepee play area. The space is beautifully decorated in bright yellows and oranges with hints of black and white.
In addition to the daily open play opportunities, the COOP specializes in planning and organizing kids parties. From birthday parties to baby showers the COOP does it all for you. So you know, we saw a mom in the ball pit playing with her children while we were there, so don’t hesitate to get in on the fun when you visit. The COOP is a great addition to the many play opportunities for kids Woodland Hills.
