With much anticipation and excitement, The Village at Westfield Topanga kicked off their Grand Opening weekend with a festive cocktail party on Thursday night featuring a wide array of drinks and food, fireworks, live entertainment and 30 Batala drummers.
Invited guests joined Westfield and city officials to celebrate the opening of the new outdoor mall in the San Fernando Valley, which has been under construction for the past 18 months. Guests enjoyed a culinary tour from each of the new restaurants opening at the Village and visited the various stores, stopping to chat around the cozy fire pits and tree-lined courtyards.
The outdoor mall, featuring fun children’s play areas, bocce ball courts, and relaxing outdoor lounges, includes a varied mix of retailes including local fashion and lifestyle brands, as well as a gym, spa and yoga studio, and restaurants. Service providers and eateries including Costco, Williams-Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, Bassett Furniture, Z Gallerie, Sur La Table, Fabletics, Blushington, Burke Williams, Drybar, Il Fornaio, Katsuya, Jonathan Adler, REI, Fleurish, J. Jill, JET by John Eshaya and many others. The mall also plans to host a weekly certified farmers market on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Emmy-nominated television personality Cat Deeley lead a countdown concluding with a fireworks extravaganza, which represented the official opening of The Village at Westfield Topanga.
The opening celebration will continue over the weekend with a morning yoga classes by the Koi Pond, story times, flower arranging workshops, cooking demonstrations, a doggie fashion show, live music and much more.
