As #LAUSD workers and teachers carried out a planned three-day strike this week, seeking higher wages for district workers, we know it hasn’t been easy…for anyone.

Still, we see our larger community’s outpouring of support for students, teachers and staff:

*@KTLA5News and other outlets gathered educational resources

*The @LAZoo offered free admission for students

*And so did @nhmla

*And so did @thelabreatarpits

*@Stoneviewnc Nature Center, the Boys & Girls Club and other orgs passed out free breakfast and lunch meals

Speaking of food, tons of spots — like @SouthLACafe, where we went this morning — offered discounts to impacted students, educators and staff.
