BOOKR Class is a new app for schools and families looking for a fun and effective English as A Second Language (ESL) curriculum. Produced by prominent Budapest-based edtech company BOOKR Kids, the award-winning app has become a staple in classrooms throughout Europe and is now entering classrooms and homes across the U.S.
Employing a storytelling-based approach to teaching, BOOKR Class offers an unprecedented array of multimedia content that encompasses a library of more than 1,000 books enhanced with text highlighting, animation and narration, animated flash cards with 4,000 words and a large array of interactive games. With its technology enhanced classic and modern stories, the curriculum not only teaches children English, but also expands their understanding of the world, people and cultures.
After research showed digital technologies offered the best approach to building a foreign language curriculum for children, BOOKR Kids dedicated its full internal educational development and production resources toward the creation of BOOKR Class, the first-ever digital interactive eBooks app for teaching English.
“BOOKR Class is a 21st Century educational tool designed for the digital age,” said Dorka Horvath, Chief Executive Officer of BOOKR Class. “The app teaches children through experiences rather than traditional instruction. Behind the development of BOOKR Class is a prestigious team of linguists, educators and child development experts whose direct involvement helped ensure that the app maintains the highest possible standards of quality.”
Organized in multiple levels that specifically address age groups from kindergarten through eighth grade, BOOKR Class promotes learning English vocabulary and structure as a byproduct of enjoying the app’s diverse interactive elements. In addition to its vast library of interactive books and games, the app also breaks new ground with its inclusion of flashcards powered by AI-based speech analysis that enables kids to practice pronunciation and receive instant feedback.
Intuitive and easy to navigate, families can engage with BOOKR Class using their tablets, smart phones and computers. Parents are provided with their own dashboard where they can monitor their child’s progress, their placements in test results, time spent with the app interaction with activities, and how many books they finished reading. The app’s measuring systems also help children discover their own reading and comprehension levels.
“BOOKR Class takes ESL training to whole new levels and offers an extraordinary opportunity for parents and children to share in the journey of learning and discovery,” added Horvath.
BOOKR Class is available to families through a subscription plan of only $4 per month or $35 per year. For more information, visit https://BOOKRclass.com/for-families.
