What is FandangObon? It is a family-geared festival that bridges the participatory music and dance traditions of Fandango of Veracruz, Mexico and the Japanese Buddhist Obon circle dances. Adding to this cultural mix will be West African dance and drums of Nigeria and New Guinea. Performers will include Quetzal Flores and Martha Gonzalez of Quetzal, Nobuko Miyamoto, Nigerian Talking Drum Ensemble, and Le Ballet Dembaya.
