The Alex Film Society presents a classic horror double feature in honor of Halloween. The movies were made by Universal (which was the preeminent studio for horror films in the ’30s) and starred the legendary Boris Karloff. While he is known for his roles in “Frankenstein” and “The Mummy,” tonight you can see Karloff in two other acclaimed horror movies: the Edgar Allen Poe adaptation “The Raven” (co-starring Bela Lugosi) and “The Old Dark House” (directed by James Whale, who also made “Frankenstein”). While this is an all-ages event, it is probably best suited for tweens and older. Advance tickets are recommended.
