Authors Kristen Kittscher, Phoebe Ozuna, and Danielle Davis will help students, ages 9-14, write their own stories during a creative writing program in July at the South Pasadena Public Library. The program, which will be on successive Fridays (July 12, 19 and 26), is designed to have students practice what the authors teach in a variety of topics. Kittscher has authored the mysteries Tiara on the Terrace and The Wig in the Window and her session will help students write their own mystery stories. Davis has written Zinnia and the Bees and she will be teaching students to capture their “whoa” moments. Ozuna has written six books of poetry and is a founding member of the LA Poetry Festival. Interested students should sign up at www.southpasadenaca.gov/register or contact the Children’s Room at 626-403-7358.
