Kids and parents can join Biocitizen guide and birding entrepreneur Benny Jacobs-Schwartz to learn about local Los Angeles ecology as you count and admire as many of your favorite native bird species as possible. The walk, which is geared for the whole family, holds a mix of fun and educational. You will learn how to use binoculars; spot and identify some local birds and dive into ecological topics topics like bird language, migration, native plants and birds. The meeting spot for today’s walk is Shane’s Inspiration Park in Griffith Park. The physical difficulty is moderate, with the approximately 2 miles round-trip offering an amazing overlook of the San Fernando Valley.
