10 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 12-13. The Los Angeles/Santa Monica Mountains Chapter of the California Native Plant Society hosts this weekend-long event. Focusing on species that can survive in hot and dry climates, the offerings will include perennial wild flowers, berries, hummingbird and butterfly plants, shrubs, irises, mints, sages, and trees. Virtually everything that could fill your garden’s needs! There will also be a wide selection of wildflower seeds available for purchase, along with new and used natural history and native gardening books, children’s activity books, field guides, and posters. On Sunday morning, there will be a presentation on climate and landscapes. Refreshments and lunch will be available for purchase. Experienced CNPSers will be on-hand to assist you. Proceeds from the plant sale help support the activities of this CNPS chapter.
