“Stars in My Pocket and the Rent is Due” is a companion show to Cauleen Smith’s exhibition at LACMA, “Give It or Leave It.” The companion show is on display at Charles White Elementary School where Smith conducted virtual visits with classes from the end of 2020 into 2021. In these meetings, Smith invited students to create their own multimedia art depicting a world they want to live in.
Gallery is open to the public Saturdays 1 – 4 p.m. through Sept. 25.
