The names of many places around Los Angeles come from the Tongvan people who have lived in the Los Angeles Basin for thousands of years. In honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, kids will learn more about the Tongvan people and Southern California’s historical past. Participate in a collaborative map that shows where your families come from and where you live now.
