“Deep Connections,” a new photo exhibition featuring black-and-white photos of the people and machines who do the underground construction of the Metro, is in the Passageway Art Gallery at Union Station. For the first time ever, gallery images will also be accessible at unionstationla.com. Artist Ken Karagozian’s images portray the humanity of the workers, the enormity of the machinery and the intricacy of the jobs in the complex underground of the metro system of subterranean Los Angeles. While the large-scale images will be on display for those traveling through the iconic downtown landmark for essential business, Karagozian’s collection of stunning photography will also be presented in an online gallery on the station’s dedicated artwork page.
