9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 21-22. The Natural History Museum will be getting prehistoric this weekend. For the fourth year, the museum hosts a weekend celebrating the dinosaurs and their world as well as the science that has brought them “back to life.” It’s a chance to meet world-renowned paleontologists from the museum’s Dinosaur Institute (and other institutions) and hear them discuss historic and ongoing fossil discoveries happening around the globe. Fest-goers can also visit exhibitors, catch a glimpse of rare specimens from the museum’s collections, dig into hands-on activities, and explore the NHM’s famous Dino Hall, which contains the world’s only Tyrannosaurus rex growth series!
