Create a conceptual artwork to display at home in this month’s Family Studio Workshop guided by local artist Chloe Pang. Taking inspiration from ‘Resilience: Philip Guston in 1971,’ on view in the North Gallery, participants will draw objects that represent personalities and hobbies in settings where one might expect a typical human form. The ‘Resilience: Philip Guston in 1971’ exhibit explores this pivotal year in the American painter’s career and presents key examples from two major series, the Roma paintings and the Nixon drawings, that together tell a story of artistic renewal and invention. This drop-in activity is free, however, reservations are recommended at www.eventbrite.com/e/family-studio-workshop-playing-with-abstract-representation-tickets-70972044295
