10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tues.-Sun. through Jan. 26. Spanning a century of animation history, this exhibit focuses the lives and work of Italian American artists, writers, directors, voice actors, musicians and producers who created unforgettable characters, hilarious cartoons, enduring musical scores, and timeless stories. This family-friendly, memorabilia-packed exhibit includes TV and film legends like Joseph Barbera (co-creator of “The Flintstones”), Walter Lantz (creator of “Woody Woodpecker”) and Clyde Geronimi (co-creator of “Lady and the Tramp”) and prominent Italian American comic artists, such as Carmine Infantino (co-creator of “The Flash”) and Frank Giacoia (creator of “The Incredible Hulk” and “Captain America”). There is also a section focused on female animation pioneers, like Disney’s first story artist Binaca Majolie and “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” animator Grace Godino, as well as one on musicians who created famous scores for animated classics: Vince Guaraldi (“Peanuts” scores)
