10 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 16-Aug. 19. While Genghis Khan has an age-old reputation of a conqueror and a barbarian, he also was a law-maker, democratizer, and brought such innovations as paper money, skis, and violins to the west. The Reagan Library is the only Southern California destination for this comprehensive exhibit that has traveled the globe. On display are more than 200 spectacular objects, including rare and sophisticated weapons, costumes, jewels, ornaments, instruments and many other historic relics and artifacts from 13th-century Mongolia. There will also be live cultural performances happening daily. Visitors will experience the exhibition through the eyes of a Mongolian resident, receiving a civilian identity card at the beginning of their journey. From warrior to spy to princess, follow your character’s life throughout the rise of the great Mongol Empire. It is an entertaining way to get educated on Khan as well as life during his 13th century empire.
