The 10th Annual Classic Slam is a three-day poetry festival presented by Los Angeles based arts education non-profit organization, Get Lit. This year’s festival will happen in virtual theaters, where youth poets will perform classic and original poems while competing for a panel of judges including the virtual audience members. Celebrity judges and audience members score each poem and the poem with the highest scores will take home a price of $500 cash. The event will stream live on GetLit’s YouTube channel and on ClassicSlam.org. GetLit uses classic and spoken word poetry to increase literacy, empower youth, and inspire communities.
