Join acclaimed pastry chef Cecilia Leung for a deep dive into baking without wheat! The co-owner of Pasadena’s beloved Lincoln and Little Flower is conducting this baking classes that is centered around mastering the art of baking with alternative grains without the use of loads of gums and starches. Vegan Chocolate Muffins, Amaranth Millet Muffins, Cardamom Espresso Scones, and Banana Buckwheat Bread are the focus of this class, which is 3 hours long. The class is held in commercial kitchens, and everything you need will be provided. The class is BYOB (bring-your-own-beverage), although water, coffee and tea are provided. It also is “BYOC” (bring-your-own-container) if possible to take home any leftovers. Please arrive on time in comfortable attire and closed-toed shoes.There are no refunds but the school honors a 48-hour cancellation policy in order to reschedule your reservation. A class on gluten-free cakes will be held on Feb. 6. While not aimed for teens, these classes are open to those ages 16 and up.
