Make a hands-on and immediate impact on our local urban ecosystem by joining the Friends of the L.A. River (FoLAR) in restoring habitat in the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Refuge. The morning begins with a bird walk from 8-9 a.m. Starting at 9 a.m. volunteers will remove non-native plants as a part of a larger effort to improve the habitat in the Sepulveda Basin. It is recommended that you wear long pants, and close-toed shoes, since the clean-up will be done in the vicinity of spiky plants. There will be water on site but please bring your own water bottle to help reduce waste! Register online; directions are on the Eventbrite page too.
