The 24th Annual L.A. Cancer Challenge 5K Walk/Run, the signature fundraising event of the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, is held on UCLA’s campus where much of the foundation’s research is conducted. The Halloween-themed fitness event includes a Fit Family Expo with food and beverage booths, activity tents, a stage with a huge video screen, a Candyland Kids Zone and more. At the heart of the LACC, which has raised over $9.1 million to date, is our goal to unite generations, young and old, through physical fitness to create public awareness and raise much-needed funds for pancreatic cancer research. In-person registration includes a chip-timed event, commemorative t-shirt and custom runner’s bib. Custom winners’ medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the 5K. In addition to medals, overall 1st – 3rd place male and female winners for the 5K will receive prizes. Virtual registration, where you can run or walk in your own neighborhood, is also available.
