10 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 19-20. The largest annual celebration of letterpress, book arts, and the paper in the West returns for the 11th year. Fair-goers can print their own keepsakes on antique letterpresses, make paper by hand, screen print their own shirt, and have their name cast in printer’s type! Additionally, some 90 vendors and artists will be offering a selection of exquisite custom posters, prints, hand-printed cards, memorabilia, decorative papers, and antiquarian books for sale. The special exhibition, “Inside Hollywood: The Earl Hays Press Collection” will feature the newly-acquired rare type and printing blocks from Earl Hays Press in Sunland, the leading producer of “fakes” and “inserts” for Hollywood film and television shows for 100 years. Visitors can also examine International Printing Museum’s historic collection of antique presses at the family-oriented Fair, which supports the Museum’ (a non-profit institution dedicated to the heritage, preservation, and advancement of the printing arts).
