Bring your kids to the White Point Nature Preserve to meet the California Gnatcatcher, a bird that is endangered everywhere else, but is recovering in habitat restored by the Conservancy. Families will enjoy a bird walk to spot a red-tailed hawk, a peregrine falcon, or even a burrowing owl and learn about how the Preserve provides them with wilderness in the big city. Make a fabulous feather painting, and build a nest all your own. Appropriate for parents and children, this event includes kid-sized binoculars, is stroller friendly an leashed dogs welcome.
