noon-6 p.m. Tues-Sat. Jan. 11-March 7. In this exhibit, The Craft in America Center spotlights two distinctive quilt artists. To coincide with African American History month, there will be a selection of five outstanding quilt portraits by Michael A. Cummings of such African American heroes as Martin Luther King Jr., James Baldwin, and Mae Jemison. Displayed in an adjoining gallery are Judith Content’s abstracted, quilted landscapes; Content uses the sewing machine as a drawing tool to create something akin to a visual haiku.
