A lecture is given by Dr. Hal McAlister, Founder of the Center for High Angular Resolution Astronomy at Georgia State University. Dr. Hal McAlister depicts how the astronomers in the 1920’s managed to create techniques to measure diameters of the stars, leading to the technological development we have today that produces images of star surfaces. The night is concluded with a night picnic and the opportunity to use the available telescopes for star gazing.
