At the annual Peninsula Olive Celebration, guests are invited to partake in the pressing of olive oil and olive curing with Terranea’s team of chefs, led by Vice President of Culinary Experiences and Executive Chef Bernard Ibarra. Using olives picked earlier in the morning from nearby Villa Oneiro vineyard & orchard, guests will enjoy complimentary tastes of olive oil made from the orchard’s more than 70 Mediterranean varietals. A pop-up marketplace and bar will feature gifts and treats such as pastries, cakes, tapenades, martinis, flavored olive oils, wine from Villa Oneiro, and more, all centered around olives. At 6 p.m., visitors (ages 21 and over) are encouraged to continue the olive fete at the bi-monthly Chef’s Table Dinner ($240++/person), an intimate Farm-to-Terranea dining experience, celebrating locally and sustainably grown and foraged ingredients, prepared by Terranea’s award-winning chefs. A portion of the proceeds from the dinner will benefit The People Concern social services foundation. Tickets available for purchase online and must be purchased in advance.
