900 E. 4th St.
$18 adults, $10 ages 12 and younger.
2-8 p.m. Wed.-Fri., noon-7 p.m. Sat.-Sun. Dec. 9–Feb. 17. “Yuck” and “gross” are the normal desired reactions from a normal museum exhibit but The Disgusting Food Museum is not a normal museum. Brave souls can even try samples at the grand finale tasting bar. True to its name, this museum serves up displays of some truly disgusting foods; Escargot, aka snails, might be the tamest food on display (most are not for the faint of heart even just to mention). This is the type of exhibit for those who like the challenge of getting grossed out over food – or who enjoy seeing other people repulsed by food. Did we say that this is not or the faint of heart? It’s not for the faint of stomach either. Needless to say, parental discretion is advised.
