10 a.m.-5 p.m. May 24-Sept. 8. The incredibly inventive mind of Leonardo da Vinci is revealed in this one-of-a-kind exhibition. From astronomy to zoology, da Vinci explored an amazingly broad range of subjects. Visitors can view more than 32 reconstructions of da Vinci’s fantastic creations, which are divided into area like “Flying Machines,” “Engineering,” “Musical Instruments,” and “War Machines,” and “Musical Instrument Area,” – and over a dozen of these reconstructions are built life-size. On display too will be two rare and authentic folios (known as 710 and 897) from the Codex Atlanticus, da Vinci’s collection of 402 folios completed between 1478 and 1519. Please note that each of these two folios will be displayed for three of the exhibit’s four-month run. Another exhibition section presents a modern take on da Vinci’s work, which features five original Warhol paintings of da Vinci’s “Last Supper.” There’s also an interactive workshop that helps visitors learn who da Vinci was and what he did during his life. Pre-purchased timed-entry tickets are recommended and can be done on its website.
