Natural History Museum’s annual Halloween event Boney Island lights up the night select evenings Oct. 3-31. A fall family favorite, Carved returns to Descanso Gardens Oct. 4-30. The 2nd annual Los Angeles Kids Book Festival takes over West Hollywood Park Sept. 8 with more than 70 vendors, including authors, illustrators and local businesses.
