All kids love grilled cheese, right? This easy and classic flavor combo of turkey and swiss is wonderful on La Brea Bakery’s fan-favorite Three Cheese Semolina Loaf – but feel free to sub in whatever you have on hand.
La Brea Bakery Pesto Turkey and Swiss Melt
8 thick slices Swiss cheese
4 tablespoons pesto
8 thin slices turkey
2 tablespoons softened butter
La Brea Bakery Three Cheese Semolina Loaf, sliced into eight slices
Arrange the slices of bread on a flat surface in two rows of four. Butter each slice of bread on one side and lay the bread out, butter side down.
Evenly spread pesto on each slice and top with one slice of cheese, two slices of turkey and one more slice of cheese. Assemble the slices in pairs to make four sandwiches.
Heat a large nonstick pan or griddle over medium-high heat for 2 minutes. Place the sandwiches on the pan or griddle and cook until the cheese has just begun to melt and the bottom slice of bread is golden brown.
Turn the sandwiches, pressing each one firmly with a spatula to flatten slightly. Cook until the other slice of bread is golden brown, about 1 minute.
