PathPoint, a nonprofit organization focused on assisting adults with disabilities or disadvantages to live and work as valued members of the community, is celebrating 50 years of service to people with special needs at the Grammy Museum Oct. 18.
“This is a special event for us here at PathPoint as we celebrate our 50 years of service,” says Marielle DeFazio, Vice President/Director of Ventura and Los Angeles counties. “But what’s truly amazing is that we are able to honor and celebrate the thousands of people we have helped over the past 50 years.”
PathPoint’s central mission is to provide comprehensive training and support services that empower those with disabilities. Programs focus on helping participants gain employment, housing and developmental training.
The Anniversary Gala begins at 7p.m. with an exclusive after-hours tour of the Grammy Museum, providing guests with a behind-the-scenes view. Drinks and appetizers by Wolfgang Puck will be provided. Attendees also have the opportunity to enjoy a photo booth, silent auction, raffle and music.
PathPoint invites community members to join family members, sponsors and employees in support of PathPoint’s efforts to make a positive change in the world. General admission tickets are $150 and are available until Oct. 17.
