The Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) has opened a bright new Family Resource Center in Sylmar, giving local families a warm, one-stop space for support. At the new location, parents can find child care assistance, early learning programs, home visiting services, mental health support and parent workshops — all under one roof.
For child care providers, the center offers training, licensing help, apprenticeships and professional development.
The opening marks another step in CCRC’s long-standing mission to strengthen families and the early childhood workforce in northern L.A. County. It also follows two newly approved state bills to strengthen the child care workforce (supported by CCRC), along with the new Michael Olenick, Ph.D. Scholarship Fund for students in the early childhood educational psychology program at Cal State University Northridge.
