We’ve rounded up our favorite fall festivals and fairs to usher in the new season with your families. Think wagon rides, autumn-inspired food, corn mazes and more fall fun.
1. Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch
9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Sat., Sept. 14 – Oct. 31 | Tanaka Farms
Pick your own pumpkin at Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch in Irvine. During the weekend Fall Harvest Festival, Tanaka Farms will offer activities like wagon rides, arts and crafts, pumpkin cannon and more. Weekdays experience the U-Pick pumpkin fields, barnyard educational exhibit, wagon rides, corn maze, and U-Pick veggie patch.
2. Westminister Fall Festival
12 p.m. – 11 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 26 – 29 | Westminister Civic Center
This four-day family-friendly celebration features live music and entertainment, carnival food trucks and an Embrace Aging Expo on Sept. 28 and a Creative Babe Market on Sept. 29.
Entertainment includes local Mariachi Juvenil Herencia Michoacana; Westminster High School Folklorico; a Taylor Swift cover band; and Moon Flower, a Vietnamese Band.
3. 2024 Fall Harvest Festival
9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Sat., Sept. 28 – Oct. 31 | Underwood Family Farm
Fall Harvest Festival returns to Underwood Family Farms for the 27th year. Admission includes tractor-drawn wagon rides, corn maze, pumpkin house, animal center, live bands, animal shows and more. Themed weekends like “Farm Country” and “Antique Tractor” will feature special activities and special guests.
Ticketed activities include gem and fossil mining, face painting, games, crafts and more.
4. Family Style Food Festival
12 p.m. Sat., Sept. 28 | Los Angeles State Historic Park
A family-oriented food festival that believes in bringing people together through the collective love of food! Known for mixing food and fashion– Family Style connects the best brands and the tastiest restaurants to create limited one-of-a-kind collaborative food and merchandise items that are exclusively available at our event!
Curated food lineup includes Din Tai Fung, Baroo, Porto’s and more. Other highlights include exclusive merchandise offerings, Next In Line cooking competition, DJs and Kid’s Area.
5. Water Harvest Festival
10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Sat., Oct. 5 | Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility
Join West Basin for its 2024 in-person event at the front parking lot of the Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility in the city of El Segundo. This free, family-friendly event welcomes community members who participate in a number of fun, educational activities including tours of the water recycling facility, stage shows, interactive water education booths, games, kids’ costume contests, opportunity drawings, and more!
6. Reyes Adobe Days
11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sat., Oct. 5 – 6 | Reyes Adobe Historical Site
The 2024 Reyes Adobe Days features a 5k Run and parade on Saturday and bike ride on Sunday, plus live music, food trucks, petting zoo, pony rides, tours of the adobe, local vendors and beer garden for guests 21 and over all weekend long.
7. 2024 ESGVJCC Akimatsuri Fall Festival
12 p.m. – 6 p.m. Sat., Oct. 5 | East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center
Join the East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center for the 2024 Akimatsuri Fall Festival! Come together to embrace the autumn spirit and celebrate Japanese American culture.
This year’s festival promises excitement for the whole family with a special emphasis on activities and entertainment geared towards kids, including a bounce house, face painting, game booths and more.

8. Mehregan Persian Festival
11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Sun., Oct. 6 | Bowers Museum
Celebrate with the Bowers Museum during their free family festivals held every first Sunday of the month in the Museum’s beautiful Key Courtyard. Enjoy live performances, art making, face painting and complimentary treats at every festival.
9. Fall Fest at One Colorado
1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sun., Oct. 6 | One Colorado
Join One Colorado for an afternoon of live music, fall treats, games, beer garden and more. While you’re there don’t forget to snap a photo at the Fall Wall photo moment (available for the month of October).
10. P-22 Day
All day Sat., Oct. 19 | Griffith Park
The annual festival celebrating L.A.’s beloved mountain lion returns to Griffith Park. The free, community event features interactive displays, immersive experiences, activities and more.
11. Fall Festival
11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Sat., Oct. 19 – 20 | The Original Farmers Market
Bring the whole family to The Original Farmers Market’s Fall Festival Oct. 19-20 for live music, arts and crafts, a petting zoo, photo ops and more. This annual tradition will be sure to get you into that fall spirit.
12. Fall Fiesta
11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sat., Oct. 19 | C&S Garden Center
The ultimate fall celebration – C&S Garden Center’s 2nd Annual Fall Fiesta is a mix of festival fun and a market to shop ’til you drop. Celebrate the season with local vendors, delicious food, live music and activities for the whole family.
13. UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden Fall Fest
12 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sat., Oct. 19 | UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden
The UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden Fall Fest will have live music, food and horticultural activities.
14. Pumpkin Patch & Fall Fun Fest
12 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Sat., Oct. 19 – 20 | Santa Anita Park
The Infield comes alive for the last two weekends in October with the Pumpkin Patch & Fall Fun Fest. Fun for the whole family, activities include pumpkin decorating, straw maze, arts and crafts, face painting, inflatable jumpers, carnival games, trackless train ride, roller skating and more. Oct. 26-27 features a “Spooky Treat Hunt” from 1p.m. to 4 p.m. for ages 1-11.
15. Calabasas Pumpkin Festival
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sun., Oct. 20 | Juan Bautista de Anza Park
City of Calabasas Community Services Department presents the annual Calabasas Pumpkin Festival featuring live music, a marketplace, reptile and bug shows, inflatable rides and games, photo ops, car displays, pumpkin arts and crafts, beer garden and, of course, pumpkin patch.
Kids ages 12 and under are invited to dress in their best Halloween costume for a monster mash up dance party at 11 a.m at the Kids Stage.The first 200 participants receive a free pumpkin to personalize in the pumpkin painting booth.
16. LA Fall Fair
2 p.m. – 11 p.m. Fri., Oct. 25 – Nov. 03 | La Prada Event Plaza
The 44th LA Fall Fair is the largest fall festival in Los Angeles County with 12 acres of amusement rides, live music on weekends, carnival games, local artisans, and food court.
17. Annual Fall Festival
11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Sat., Oct. 26 | Pacific Park & Community Center
Join the City of Glendale and the Community Services & Parks Department for their annual Fall Festival. The event will feature various carnival games, arts and crafts, a bounce house, a pumpkin patch, a photo station, and Glendale Rocks! Climbing Wall.
18. The Anaheim Fall Festival and Halloween Parade
11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Sat., Oct. 26 | Santa Anita Park
The Anaheim Fall Festival takes place along Center Street Promenade in the heart of downtown Anaheim from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and concludes with the Anaheim Halloween Parade at 7 p.m., which steps off in downtown and winds its way westward.
This hometown tradition is run entirely by local volunteers who come together each year to celebrate Halloween, Dia de Los Muertos, and the Harvest Season. The event features photo ops, entertainment, artist booths, food, costume contests for kids and dogs and a parade float scavenger hunt.
19. Pumpkin Patch & Fall Fun Fest
12:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Sat., Oct. 26 – 27 | Santa Anita Park

20. Art + Nature Family Festival
All day Sun., Nov. 3 | Laguna Art Museum
Laguna Art Museum’s Art + Nature Family Festival, featuring an engaging docent-guided tour to the Main Beach Cobblestones where this year’s exceptional outdoor exhibition awaits. The festival, held at the Main Beach Cobblestones and the museum, includes free access to LAM’s exhibitions, hands-on art activities, science and nature-based programs, docent-led tours and educational sessions. It celebrates Laguna Beach’s artistic and natural beauty, emphasizing the intersection of art and the environment.
21. Fall Into Autumn: Early Childhood Community Festival
9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. Sat., Nov. 9 | Westside Neighborhood School
Westside Neighborhood School (WNS) presents its second annual family-friendly open house, where young children can immerse themselves in the magic of our early childhood center.
Join Westside Neighborhood School for a morning of connection and fun with seasonal crafts, outside games and exploration, face painting, petting zoo, live music and more.
This event is designed for children under 5 years of age, and is open to everyone in the surrounding areas. Drop-in any time from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
