Registration has hit the ground running for the 17th Annual LA Cancer Challenge (LACC) 5K/10K and Kids Can Cure Fun Run. The annual family-friendly charity event benefits the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, which is dedicated to finding a cure for pancreatic cancer and improving early-detection methods. To date, the LACC has raised over $5 million for pancreatic cancer research.

The Halloween-themed event includes the Fit Family Expo, a Halloween Costume Parade and Contest, and the Halloween Kid Zone, with pumpkin decorating and live entertainment. Approximately 5,000 people of all ages are expected to attend the event in fun and festive Halloween costumes.

This LACC event will be held at the Veterans Administration Grounds on Sunday, Oct. 26. The 10K Run begins at 7:30 AM, the 5K Run begins at 9:00 AM, and the Kids Can Cure Fun Run begins at 10:15 AM. Online registration is available until Oct. 24, and children ages 2-10 can also register to participate in the Kids Can Cure Fun Run.

For more information or to register for the LACC, visit or call 310-473-5121.
