Miracles for Kids, an organization that provides support to children with life-threatening illnesses, is hosting its 19th annual Night of Miracles Gala on Saturday, Oct. 14.
Guest can attend the gala, dubbed “Marvelous Miracles” this year, at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point. The mission is to raise money that is used to help provide support for struggling families with children who have life-threatening illnesses and conditions.
“Our annual gala is a very important night for the organization, bringing together valued supporters who invest in our mission and ability to affect change for families in crisis,” says Autumn Strier, co-founder and CEO of Miracles for Kids. “We are honored to have the continued support of our presenting sponsor Xponential Fitness, who stands beside us as we work to raise funds for families in desperate need of support.”
The gala will feature live entertainment, a sit-down dinner and a live and silent auction with more than 200 items for which people can bid. The night will raise money for the cause, with proceeds going to programs that support children with life-threatening illnesses or conditions and their families. Entertainment for the evening will feature an opening number by British singer/songwriter Alice Chater and an acoustic set by Andrew McMahon, former frontman for Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin. McMahon, a cancer survivor himself with a charity that benefits those with leukemia, is a Dana Point native and active musician still on tour.
Tickets, tables and sponsorship packages are available, along with underwriting opportunities and more. Live auction items include a five-night stay for up to 14 at a beachfront luxury villa in Punta Mita, Mex., a VIP red carpet experience for two at Marvel Hollywood 2024 premieres, a four-day luxury golf and spa getaway to Kiawah Island for eight, a French bulldog puppy and more.

The organization raised nearly $4 million during the 2022 gala, which featured hundreds of auction items and had more than 500 attendees. The organization, co-founded by Strier, is based in Orange County, but supports families throughout the West Coast and beyond. It has helped provide long-term stability for more than 2,000 families.
