If you’re looking for a great way to brighten your Mother’s Day celebrations, Carlsbad has an array of options for you. The Visit Carlsbad’s Pedal 2 Petal event is approaching its final week as the floral-inspired event ends on May 8.
Through this program visitors and locals can experience the floral magic of Carlsbad at The Flower Fields and beyond. Local shops and attractions, culinary and wellness experiences, chefs and mixologists, hotel partners and more have all teamed up to create a variety of floral imbued products, activities, bites and cocktails. Guests are invited to bike (pedal) around the great outdoor resort destination and experience different stops where they can enjoy flower-inspired offerings. By “pedaling to the petals,” visitors have the opportunity to experience all the wonderful ways the city celebrates spring. We have outlined the floral-inspired experiences below for your reference:
Hotel offerings
The Omni La Costa Resort & Spa is offering the “Blooms & Bliss” package, which includes upgraded accommodations featuring a deep soaking tub and private outdoor space, a welcome “care package,” including fresh flowers from Native Poppy, and a $200 resort credit per stay for redemption towards relaxation at the award-winning Spa at La Costa
The Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa and The Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa, will offer packages that include 2 tickets to the Flower Fields and a free 1-hr bike rental/day and free shuttle to and from the Flower Fields (based on availability).
Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, A Hilton Resort & Spa will offer guests the use of complimentary, beach cruiser bicycles, which can be reserved for their special Pedal 2 Petal adventure.
The Cassara Carlsbad is offering a “Stay and See Flower Fields Package” that includes 2 tickets to The Flower Fields, an overnight stay at the Cassara Carlsbad overlooking 50 acres of Tecolote Giant Ranunculus, waived parking and free shuttle to Carlsbad Premium Outlets, The Flower Fields and Carlsbad beaches. Valid through May 8.

Ocean Crest Spa at Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, A Hilton Resort & Spa is featuring its brown sugar and lavender scrub and massage.
Park Hyatt Aviara Resort Golf Club & Spa is offering a calendula and orange myrtle scrub and massage.

Chandler’s Restaurant at Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, A Hilton Resort & Spa will be serving up Lavender & Lemon cocktails, Lavender Lattes and delectable lemon and lavender dessert bars.
20 | Twenty Grill at Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa is offering a variety of petal infused libations including its Lavender Blossom Fizz and Hibiscus Sour as well as the Hibiscus Baja Ceviche with local striped bass.
The Pacific Point lounge at Park Hyatt Aviara Resort Golf Club & Spa offers an array of floral inspired offers an array of floral-inspired cocktails to celebrate all things spring, including the top selling Lavender Lemon Spritz, the Aviara Blossom (a fruity concoction of Ketel One Botanical Peach and Blossom, aperol, rhubarb bitters, citrus, lavender and ginger) and the Hibiscus Bubbly (rum, hibiscus tea, honey and lemon soda).
The Carlsbad Cookie Company will set up shop at the farmers market each Wednesday with its ranunculus shortbread cookies made with farm fresh ingredients. From March 1-May 8, code Pedal2Petal gets you 10% off all purchases and orders.

Family fun
Visit the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation Discovery Center and view native flowering plants in their extensive Native Plant Garden. Complete an informative and educational scavenger hunt on the grounds of the Discovery Center looking for native flora and discover the beauty of some of our flowering plants in bloom from March 1st – May 8th, 2022. Yoga Your Way will offer a Flower Power stand up paddleboard yoga class every Sunday from March 26-May 8. Participants will be provided flower crowns and bouquets of flowers will be attached to the SUP boards. Fresh hibiscus tea will be served before and after class.
