Westwood Target shoppers got an “honest” surprise June 25 as they stumbled upon an in-store launch event celebrating the chain’s new partnership with The Honest Company (www.honest.com), a brand that offers natural, non-toxic family essentials.
Six interactive stations, including a fun photo booth and a trivia board, were set up around the store. Each provided guests with the opportunity to learn more about the Honest Co. collection now available at Target. Items include diapers, organic body care and natural household cleaning products. An expanded assortment is also available at Target.com.
The Honest Company strives to make affordable products that are safe and easily accessible to parents. “As a busy working mom, I know you can’t always anticipate when you’re going to need something. It’s great to have a partner like Target that offers convenience and great values at any given moment,” said Honest Co. co-founder Jessica Alba, who attended the launch event with co-founder Christopher Gavigan.
Alba, who enjoys backyard barbeques and swimming with her daughters during the summer, also shared her “wish list” of products, one of which is beauty. With this partnership, the company hopes to develop new products specialized for Target.
As part of its commitment to giving back to the community, The Honest Company will give a portion of every product sale at Target to families in need. As of June 1, the company has donated 544,242 of its products and helped 49,743 families in need.
