Soccer Routes, a soccer program for ages 2 to 18, is planning to get some new players onto the field – 18-month-olds and their moms!
The program is designed to help kids learn the basic movements involved in soccer, following their parents and coaches with every step. Simplified warm-up techniques help develop motor skills and, as children progress, they learn more complicated soccer techniques.
“The aim is to create tuned bodies for whatever they do in life,” says program founder Adam Rose.
Mommy-and-Me classes are held at 10 a.m. Sundays at Griffith Park’s Mineral Wells (4800 Griffith Park Dr., L.A.), and last around 30 to 35 minutes. Open classes typically include five to six kids, and cost $250 for 10 sessions. Private classes cost $350 for 10 sessions.
Soccer Routes also offers a variety of options for older soccer players, including private classes and summer camp. For more information, visit www.soccerroutes.com.
